Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between robot OEM and ODM?
OEM typically focuses on manufacturing and integration to an agreed design and specification. ODM also includes design and development, often adapting an existing platform's structure, exterior and performance. BXI supports both approaches; design responsibilities, intellectual property, software deliverables and acceptance criteria must be agreed in the project contract.
What information is needed for a custom humanoid robot quote?
Provide the application, target dimensions and weight, degrees of freedom, payload, runtime, sensors, compute, software interfaces, prototype and production quantities, budget and target delivery date. Existing CAD, BOM and test requirements help scope development, materials, integration and validation.
Can a humanoid robot prototype lead to low-volume production?
Prototype and pilot-production projects can be discussed with BXI. Agree on the prototype configuration and acceptance criteria, validate it, then assess production. Minimum quantities, development fees, unit pricing and lead times are confirmed per project.
What is the lead time for robot OEM/ODM?
Lead time depends on customization, supply chain, validation, and certification requirements. Existing-platform projects may use 3–6 months as an early planning reference, subject to confirmed scope.
What can be customized in the OEM solution?
You can customize the robot's exterior, structure, and performance parameters, with branded integration built on BXI's joint motors, control modules, and whole-robot technology.
